Like a lot of people - one of the real door openers to a lot of music is through Hip-Hop and Rap (though my tastes in Hip-Hop don’t really go beyond 1998! Though I do occasionally buy the odd modern rap record if it’s something I like) - in fact, my first ever record that i bought was “Boom Shake The Room” by Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince (as featured in this mix). It’s 1 hour long - and some of the tunes are remixes and includes one of the very first rap records ever made that was done before Sugarhill Gang - King Tim III by the Fatback Band!
