Rory is a multi award-winning Music Producer/DJ and Film Maker. His music career has seen him producing 8 critically acclaimed albums and numerous EP’s, Singles, Remixes and Collaborations with other artists worldwide on various worldwide labels. Rory covers many genres including House, Funk, HIp-Hop, Big Beat, Breaks, Chillout and many more. Some of his tracks have been used as background music on internal American Airlines and in stores like Macy’s. He has also produced tracks for Film, TV and Adverts including tracks for Disney, Sony BET TV, Fox TV, Costco, Audi Asia and the Tour De France Documentary and is constantly working on new syncs. He has DJ’ed throughout the country in clubs and at Major Festivals including Leeds Festival, he was the Opening Act at the 2014 Tour de France Fan Park performing to over 20,000 people and has DJ’d in Paris  for the Crea Sourire Charity for Sick Children.

 

In September 2018, Rory had a book published, ‘The Little Big Beat Book’ where he interviewed 120 major artists of the 1990s Dance Scene including Fatboy Slim and The Prodigy. The book reached No.1 in the Amazon Dance Music Book Charts. His second book The Beatles: Acting Naturally; Obscure, Rare, Unfinished and Abandoned film & TV Projects of the Fab Four’ has just been published in 2021 to rave reviews.

 

His film ‘Autism And Me’ is published worldwide on DVD together with a booklet he’s written explaining in easy to understand terms what it’s like living with Autism on a daily basis. Some of his awards are listed below and he has seen praise for his work from people like Paul McCartney, Stephen Fry, Craig Charles, Fatboy Slim, Michael Palin,  Jane Asher among others. He works constantly to promote understanding of Autism, going into schools and organisations where they show his film to do Q&A Sessions and gets messages from all over the world from grateful families. In fact, one American mother said she felt she knew her son for the first time having watched Rory’s film. 

 

He’s been on British and American TV, Radio and Press a number of times over the past few years, and has been called ‘Inspirational’ and a ‘trailblazer’.

       •      Winner of the Yorkshire Young Achiever Of The Year in the Arts Category alongside actor

              Mikey North from Coronation Street - The event was hosted by ITV.

.    Also produced some mixes for Disneyland Paris, which are being played on the street and in the shops and café’s in the Disney Village.

•    Featured many times on British and American TV including the NBC ‘Today’ Show in USA, ITV, BBC and Sky.  Featured many times on UK Radio Stations  and Worldwide Press and Magazines.

•    Film Producer (38 short films to date, 3 shown on BBC TV, Royal Television Society nomination, UNICEF award, 6 National Awards, including one from Film Director Guy Ritchie

•    His film ‘Autism & Me’ is released worldwide on DVD together with a booklet he’s done through Jessica Kingsley Publishers and is widely used in schools and by professionals  worldwide to promote understanding of autism 

•    One of his tracks  Right On Funk Jam  was on the PRS Dance Podcast and he’s also featured in the  PRS ‘M’ magazine

•    Won an international remix competition for Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip (Sunday Best Records run by BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank)

•    He is Youth Patron of the London based charity Resources for Autism and was invited to a special reception at the House of Lords to mark their 10 year anniversary

•    Rory was a Centenary Ambassador for the large charity ‘UK Youth’  2010 and features in many promotions including Film, TV, Radio, Press and Festivals. He continues to be an Ambassador for UK Youth to this day.

•    Invited to be an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society in 2015.
