The Big Beat Years - Episode 5

Hope you’ve been sticking around with my weekly mixtape series ‘THE BIG BEAT YEARS’ as we are halfway through with Episode 5 - 1998. (https://www.mixcloud.com/RoryHoy/the-big-beat-years-episode-5-1998/) This was Big Beat’s commerical peak - the tunes were less heavy and more funky, and, of course it was the year Fatboy Slim released his iconic awesome second studio album ‘You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby’! My personal favourite year of Big Beat  - expect some classics from the likes of The Wiseguys, Freestylers, Wildchild, Cornershop, Freddy Fresh, Lionrock, Tzant, Psychedeliasmith, and the elusive Loop Da Loop AKA Space Cowboy, not to mention the original 1998 version of the iconic ’Satisfaction Skank’ mashup!
